"Don't Judge me."  This is a phrase I commonly use when I'm playing puzzle quest, getting another cookie out of the kitchen, or doing something silly like that.  Sadly, I think I worry about being judged too often, and about judging others.  I worry about people thinking things like "she's an idiot", "what a loser", and the like.  I also feel like ( Read more... )

I agree with you wholeheartedly.

I wish that judging could somehow not be done...but it happens whether we are trying or not. We kind of have to with all the stimuli coming in. We need to filter things into groups, judgments...generalizations, stereotypes...

But I love your loser face!
... but really. you're amazing. you shouldn't worry so much. be proud of your faults! and sillinesses! and mistakes! like when I slammed my head on the wall in the middle of class and the room shook and everyone looked! and when i put the lock on the test cabinet upside down and they had to come pry it off with the jaws of life!
sometimes
I'm quick to judge people actually. then I realize... ha! if I had a nickel for every time I've done something silly... I'd be a rich, judged. woman? ...I have no idea.

I like ramen noodles. I am a sugar addict. I'm insane. I is a crappie engulush majer.
... don't judge me.
:-P

moral of the story: we're all crazy. we could all be easily judged. we could all easily judge. but whatever. such is life. we've just gotta be who we are and not worry about it. because when we worry about it - we lose something important in life.

I judged you three times while reading this post. Then, I judged myself for judging you. Then I judged Judge Reinhold's judging abilities, though not his acting abilities, which I presume have been previously judged.

The point? Without judgment, all of the criminals would go free, scale makers would go out of business and we would have neither the direct to video Beethovens nor a partner for the Beverly Hills Cop. And who would want to live a world without those?

(There's probably a better moral here, but I'm judging you yet again for your playing of Puzzle Quest, and so can't be bothered.)

You over-think stuff... :-P

By the way though, if it helps, i don't think you're a loser or an idiot... in fact quite the contrary... most of the time :-P (i make joke!)

Judging is a fact of life. However, the fact that you discourage it in yourself is more than admirable. We can control how we think, so dont worry too much. The fact that you realize it, and try to rectify is where it counts. However, I would also like to point out that the statements you placed as examples, arent really judging the person, more the comment or worries. For such things, i encourage you to remember that people see things differently than you. Somethings are more worth worrying to them, or they mistakenly think they are. And sometimes, people say things without thinking, or think that more people would be interested in something, or just dont realize how something will sound when it comes out their mouth... or are just plain bad at expressing an idea. In short, dont worry about it, but still continue to work to better yourself. Not that i think you can get much better than you already are.
