that's an amazing painting you created. what types of paint do you use? all watercolor? i love it. :)

thank you. :) the colors are so much more vibrant than this photograph displays.. but, i actually drew the whole thing in AQUAtone pencils. they're colored pencils that you can then take a wet brush over and do whatever with. this was actually made on two different pieces of paper. this is a self-portrait, of sorts..and originally, i was adding angel wings to the body. only one side got done and i didn't really like how it turned out, so i cut out around the body, and the "earth" that the body is seated upon, and fixed them to another paper with rubber cement (very stinky and makes your skin not feel so good if it makes contact..). for the background, i took a blade and shaved off different colors, and swirled them into a delightfully chaotic pattern. there is so much more detail in real life.. the background was painted with the black, and then i would re-wet spots and shave off different colors here and there, just leaving the shavings to mix with the water. the body is outlined in gold calligraphy ink. the gold symbols on the body
