I've been meaning to ask, just which prophet is this, anyway?

The Prophet is a book, written by Khalil Gibran. It's a collection of philosophical essays by a fictional Prophet to the Orphalese people (who I believe are mythical). My grandmother gave me her copy years ago, and I've always enjoyed it and like to share pieces.
