That's comparatively better than a lot of people I can think of who never do anything at all.

We simply value different things. To try is better than inaction. On the grounds that the intent is more important to people, while how they express their intent has more an effect on the situation, which is never expected to be all that great.

Besides, it's endearing, although sometimes frustrating. I'd be happier working with someone fix their problems rather than have no way to help.
