general assembly, (r)evolution style
Most of the time, the way groups do things at GA is they have a little booth in the exhibit hall and hand out pamphlets, hang out in their hospitality suite with the other people who already support them, maybe have a catered lunch (chicken breast of some variety) and generally don't do anything unexpected or interesting.

new church revolution
As I mentioned before, I'm going to the General Assembly of the Presbyterian church with a team of activists around the issue of queer/LGBT ordination. Our plans are starting to come together, and I think it will end up being a really exciting and life-giving experience for us and for other folks at GA.

bikers take over the world!
in local news: some NYC bike shops selling out of popular commuter bikes as gas prices rise!in even local-er news: jesse and i spent yesterday morning tuning up our bikes so i could ride down to chelsea with him today. he's been riding to his new job most days (10 miles roundtrip) and managed to talk me into riding in with him in the mornings. it ( Read more... ) -
