Remember that little girl who sang at the Olympic opening ceremonies? Well that wasn't her singing. Apparently Chinese Olympic Officials decided that the little girl who was supposed to sing wasn't pretty enough. So they picked a "prettier" girl to lip-sync, and just dubbed the original's voice over it

China also banned anyone who is mental ill from being out in public during the Olympics

They have been all around totally image obsessed, as this is their big "coming out" party for the world, or at least that's how they see it. They bussed out their homeless and vagrants to surrounding communities.

When I went to China in 2004 the government would send us an hour out of our way while site-seeing to make sure we went around the ghettos. We were only taken through routes that showed off their growing economy.
