i was actually really happy that when i took the course...it poured. all saturday and sunday of it. i figured that if i learned in the rain...i'd be all set for anything.
I took my course last August and it was sunny and hot all weekend -- not a cloud in the sky. I got quite the sunburn on my face, as a matter of fact.
Generally speaking, I avoid rain if possible. So far, so good. I would like the opportunity to ride a little in the rain, for practice, but on MY terms...not Mother Nature's 'cuz rush hour is not my idea of an ideal time to try it :)
the first time i took the course...it was mid july....and a heat wave i don't do so good in the heat. halfway through saturday they wanted to send me to the hospital. reallly bad heat stroke. so i came back and took it the last wekeend they were rnnign the course...in mid or end of october. heat...and thick leather jacket, gloves, jeans and a helmet...not good for a person.
