I ran into a friend of mine today, someone I'm really close to and have known for just about forever, and I was struck by something she told me. Apparently she was talking with an acquaintance (someone we've both known since kindergarten, but aren't really close to) about people and their odd choice of course in college, and my name came up

hello, you shouldn't be ashamed about what you want to do. heck, there are really intelligent people who chose IS over management. (pati nga salutatorian ng fyrinx na sa comm eh) hence, there's really no prob about it. take care! :)

< blinks > Math? But... you aren't a Math person... I mean, ICAlettes and English is more your thing. In all the time I've known you, it never crossed my mind that you would take a Math course, or that you should take one for that matter. < shrugs > I knew you were capable of Math [unlike me XP], but English seemed more your passion. Then again, what would I know?

Point of the matter is, who gets to judge what's the better course for you besides yourself? It doesn't and shouldn't matter what other people say. Your course shouldn't be picked just because you can do it, though that's a part of it. The more important thing is, you enjoy it. In the long run, it'll count the most. :) Just have fun, and don't let what other people say get to you. :)
