I have been concerned for you as i checked LJ recently. I'm not sure exactly how things are for you now, but this entry brings me comfort! I don't have much to say, except the joy that you are doing better and you've found people that you want to deeply care about. Some of what you said resonates with me, like the bit about friends and other places being more home to you than...home. I typically get more stressed at home than anyone else. My guess is it might be average for the American culture to have welcoming homes yet for them to not stand up to some other sanctuary. Maybe all i did was say the same thing you did in a different way because i'm not sure "why" this is the case. I think it has something to do with knowing the people you live with for years and years, and no matter what kind of relationship you deepen, you increase the risk of stress and irritability. That part makes sense
