I read news.com.au and have seen many references to ANZAC day but no hard and fast explanation. Thank you for explaining what the day means to Aussies, I find its a lovely way to honor and remember soldiers.

Sometimes I wish Memorial Day here were a bit more of a memorial for soldiers like my Dad but ah well.
