"No matter which way I go, out of my mind"

I am on a never-ending search for colleges. I like some out-of-state ones, but they're too expensive for me to really be able to go there. If I get the Flinn, I'll go probably to ASU, but to quote Bartleby, "I'd prefer not to." And, my chances of getting that scholarship are very scanty, anyway.

I also memorized that poem in fifth grade. Were you in Champaign for fifth grade?

Good luck with the college stuff. I just went through it (admittedly as a transfer which is a slightly different experience) and I totally relate to the feeling of having your mind wander to thoughts of college whenever it is not otherwise occupied (and sometimes when it is!). If you have any questions or anything don't be afraid to ask.

In regards to the cost of out of state schools, if you are looking at private schools it is worth keeping in mind that the sticker cost and the actual amount you will pay are vastly different. I'm at a $40,000 a year school, and after financial aid it is not much more expensive than it would have been for me to go to Illinois State. Out of state public schools are slightly different, because public schools just don't have as much money to give as private schools.

What schools are you looking at?

Yes, yes I was. I was at Carrie Busey then.

Thanks! That's really sweet. I'll definitely keep you in mind for questions.

I'm looking at... U Chicago, Lewis & Clark, Puget Sound, American, and some others that I don't even remember.
