I'm also wondering how long Ivy's feelings will last. As she is a newly undead but for how long can she keep expressing feelings she doesn't understand or feel anymore except for what she can try and remember? I so hope she doesn't end up breaking Rachel's heart. I love Ivy to death and beyond but I do love them together as well. Keep the chapters coming. Cheers

Ivy right now is in an emotional experimental phase of sorts. She's trying something different from her undead peers. She's been on the receiving end of their method, and they're not something she wants to be if it's not strictly necessary. Think of it as a change in political regime from a tyranny to a democracy; those politicians who reform their countries in radical ways, for reasons that are (or seem) noble at heart sometimes end up as the very evil they seemed to oppose when the going gets rough. If Ivy's softer, more compassionate style ends up failing her, well, it won't be pretty, and not just for those around her.

I'll try to get the next update up sooner. A lot of it is done already, so... fingers crossed.

I've already said some of how I feel about this so consider this an addition (a much-needed one since I wasn't totally coherent last time). I like the point this chapter made (and this story has again and again) that vamp political jockeying and power struggles aside, it's the people caught in between who get hurt and suffer the consequences. In KH's books, a lot of that fell on Ivy. Now it's happening to Erica, and I'm not sure if it's better or worse that it's her mom and sister who're at the forefront of that fight ( ... )

Alright, I'm definitely a couple of months late with this but man, was it ever worth the wait. As I predicted this was fantastically written. I am not a political minded person at all but you've got me completely invested in the power struggle to the point where I'm talking to my computer at 1:30 in the morning, lol ( ... )

I really enjoyed this post. You write about this topic very well. There are many cherished moments in life, why not wear a beautiful dress! When looking back on special memories of your child wearing a gorgeous dress, it will make a fond memory.
