The reason Star Wars has entered pop culture much more readily is because it is a much more simple premise to grasp, one people can understand AND relate to. "Here are the bad guys, here are the good guys. We shoot/fwing our swords at them to win. The end." Do people actually take the time to appreciate Luke's dedication to the Lightside?Probably not. The focus is on lightsabers and space battles. Simple really. And there's nothing wrong with that. People like a world where problems can be solved by shooting them away. It makes things easy when you know there are only two sides to pick from-a defined good and evil ( ... )

Furthermore, technically speaking, would vulcans even bother to have sex if it didn't lead to procreation? Isn't sex purely for pleasure illogical, as there is no real result (and they wanna purge senseless emotions and stuff ( ... )
