So I just leave my house and heading down Cary when a fucking pickup slams into my side
He hit me so hard i spun around and started heading towards the curb. I hit the brake but the accelerator was stuck, and I was heading straight for a tree. So I quickly switched it into park at which point the engine started roaring and I yanked out the keys.

Did the driver immediately appologize or did they yell at you. My experiance is that there is little correlation between how people react and who was actually to blame.

I knew a guy who was riding his motorcycle in Rockville when a lady in an oncomming stationwagon made an illegal left turn, leaving him no choice but to smash into the side of her car. She stood over him and yelled about the dent in her door, not at all caring that he had two broken legs and was lying in a pool of gasoline.

You waited for a cop, right?

We crashed right next to a fire house, so the cops were there pretty quickly.
The other driver and I never really talked, as soon as I jumped out of my car I felt like yelling at the other driver but I didn't. We both just kind of stood around, I suspect he understood it was his fault and didn't want to approach me, and I didn't try talking to him.

just heard about this. I'm so sorry about the car but glad you're ok. Is your car going to get fixed or is it totaled? I suspect I know the answer to that question. Are you looking for a new one?

don't know yet the appraiser will be out tomorrow, if the frame is okay i'll probably only need to replace the doors and some other minor stuff. If the car is fixable im gonna try to keep it, its only got a good engine for its age(14yrs). I think it has something like 90'000 miles on it.
