So what's life in Savannah like? This community doesn't seem to get much action but hopefully some locals can chime in. I've been deliberating a move to the area (preferably the Historic District) based on nothing more than the scenery, how great a place it is to live (I hear), and the people there -- but what are some specific things that really make you enjoy life there? Is it a good place for late 20's/early 30's singles? Is there a vibrant local music scene? Is it a good place for getting around on bicycle? Is there a quirky kind of vibe or is Savannah very traditional? I'll be visiting in a couple weeks to see for myself, but in the meantime I though it'd be a good idea to get some input from people who actually live there. Also, what would you consider to be the downside(s) of living in Savannah? Crime? Unemployment? Is it a very Christian/church based city? (not that I'm considering that a downside)
