To all 4th, 5th, 6th, and 7th year students

Due on Monday: three feet of parchment on love potions: ingredients, symptoms, duration, favoured method of delivery, and antidotes for each.

[Private to McGonagall]
The removal of points stays, Minerva and no amount of yowling is going to change that.

Shit. Are we brewing a love potion, sir?

Mr Weasley, you have two weeks of detention for the love potion you already brewed. Would you care to add to it?

But sir, I never brewed a love potion, I swear!

This ... this is George! Yes, I've stolen Fred's connection and this is George.

You can't mean me as well.

Do you include me in this?

You are a student in the aforementioned years.

Yes, but Sir, I was the victim!

Then you should do exceptionally well on the symptoms and the antidote, as you were there when I brewed it.

Are you going to ask us to brew one for you as well, Professor? I was always under the impression you were against love potions.

Maybe he needs it for himself someone?

Don't be ridiculous, Ronald. He's a better Potions Master than any of us could hope to be, and if he needed one for some reason, chances are he could brew it himself with less strain than assigning such a long essay to get it through our thick heads.

Oh... true... Unless he didn't want to get in trouble!

Monday? Sir, there's no way to get some kind of extension on it?

Five points from Gryffindor for such a stupid question.

But I just- er ... of course, sir?

I don't give extensions.

Is a there a penalty for going over three feet, sir?

Reply

savant_snape March 22 2007, 16:07:30 UTC
You would be the one to ask that. Go over four and I start taking points for every line over.

Reply

astute_hermione March 22 2007, 16:09:30 UTC
A four foot maximum? Thank you, sir.

Do not use extremely small letters either, Ms Granger. Learn some brevity.
