Auction: Autographed hardback -- "Paul of Dune"
I don't know Dave; I'm here through s00j, filkertom, and vixyish. But I want to help with what little I have, so here's what I've got.
I used to work in the local booknook, and employees were occasionally sent freebies (usually those stress-relieving squishy balls, which never worked, but I digress). One of those was an author-autographed copy of "Paul of Dune," and the manager then on duty put it aside for me, thinking "she's a geek; geeks like Dune." I appreciated the thought, though I prefer other authors, but I figured I could gift it to my boyfriend or brother. Turns out the former wasn't interested, and the latter had his own copy. I was left to wonder where to donate it, when I saw Dave's story in various friends' journals. The book now had renewed purpose!
This is a hardback copy, in brand-new condition, as you can see here.
Both Brian Herbert and Kevin J. Anderson have signed it -- Anderson on the inner title page, and Herbert on a piece of personal stationery.
This would be a spectacular birthday or holiday gift for the Anderson, Herbert, and/or Dune fan in your life. Cover price is $27.95, but the opening bid is $10.
