...wait, a "501(c)3" or *4* or what...? 501(c)3s ARE NOT ALLOWED to give grants to anything other than other 501(c)3s, no individual scholarships, etc., so I would supercheck te situation if I were you: the website I just went to did not actually show me any IRS tax-exempt status proof at all...just worth looking at (I work for a lawyer and we administer a few of these things)...

um...

unrelated, mostly, a question? seeking advice.

a friend has finally convinced me to allow her to set up an auction for me, trying to extend my insurance and cover my meds for the next couple of months -
and we are having a hard time getting it going. [i wasn't happy to *do* it to begin with, but having bitten the bullet and her putting a fair amount of work into it...] is there any advise you have?

Signal boost it everywhere. Draw in FB, Twitter, whatever social media you use.

Make sure that the need and all the information about it are easily accessible and linkable-to, and presented clearly.

Don't hesitate to bring in off-internet people to help. And look around for other auctions that have ended. You are welcome to promote yours here with a booster post.

we have boosted - i think the problem is that we have mostly boosted to ourselves lol. but the other media - we can do that.

and thank you - i will make a post here. and see if other places where i have helped [i has no money - but i have books i will donated, and *have*, often] will also be willing.
