[sticky] [where we're at] [what we do]

Oct 20, 2009 19:05

We're trying to save Dave's house and land from foreclosure. (Click the link for the original story post.)

The auction is live! Check out the tags list to browse items by type, or start from the beginning and just click on through! Over 100 lots are posted, including many items with no bids or very few bids...check the bump it up tag for details!

To bid on an auction, please reply to the highest bidder. You do this by clicking the "reply" link that appears under the comment in which the bid appears or is opened. Do not use the reply link on the post to bid as your previous bidder will not be notified. (If you have questions, leave a comment to this post and I will try to help you. - popelizbet)

Paypal donations go to sabrina.k.swafford in the vicinity of gmail.com. Sabrina is a CPA and is coordinating the local fundraising effort. popelizbet & hnmic are handling the online auction. Persons interested in donating by mail may contact popelizbet via PM.

To make a donation, or when you are ready to pay for an auction, enter the above email address into Paypal, and indicate that your donation is a gift. This keeps us from paying fees out of the donations of others!

Paypal will e-mail you a receipt; you will send this to your auction poster(s)
as proof of your donation.

To keep up with how much we've raised, check the update tag.

The original text of this post read, in part:

Thank you to everyone who helped us raise nearly $500 in the first eight hours...and everyone with items on offer. Sabrina was so happy when I talked to her; she says for the first time she feels hope that we can pull this off.

I believe we can pull this off. We're doing it. Thank you. Boost the signal. Spread the word. If nothing else, LJ auctions are a great way to get seasonal gift-giving handled for the lovers of shiny things, delicious things, and unique things in your life.

Thank you. Again and again, for all you do.

y'all are awesome, update, how to donate, how to bid, edited to splain, saving dave
