Oh, Lords of Kobol, that was mind-boggling. I could never figure out why the hell a Cylon Raider wouldn't simply be a Cylon designed as a strike craft.
Why would a starving fleet waste resources on "pet robot"?
Why? So that Boxey could have someone to ride in the Crawler with him when they went down to the surface of the totally unexplored, possibly dangerous alien planet. And then chase after him when he ran away to investigate something. Over and over and over again.
Besides, it's really hard for a chimp to land a plum role that gives him the opportunity to wear a hideously uncomfortable and stupid looking robot suit in Hollywood.
Why did Baltar agree to betray humanity? So he could reign over, what, a bunch of Robots?
Because he was pissed that Colonial society didn't allow villians to have waxed mustaches and twirl them; it drove him insane.
The only things I liked about that show were the Vipers and the Battlestars. Everything else? Blech.The Galactica struck me ( ... )
