Richard Wright, the brilliant keyboardist for the legendary rock band Pink Floyd, has died at age 69 after a short battle with cancer, almost exactly two years after the death of Floyd founder Syd Barrett.

Rest in peace; we'll see you on the dark side of the moon.

Sorry to butt in, butt. . .

A friend bought a scratched copy of Wright's album years ago at a flea market. I was shocked at the influence he must have had on the band circa the mid-seventies. Not Gilmore, not Waters, Wright.

Later albums showed how separate they as a band had become. Yes, this was a very sad passing.
