my mom bought hers back when I was still in high school. it was necessary for us, as we are a family of rather large people, and with Steve and Rick still growing at the time, we needed something roomy.

I agree with you partially, but for some people, an SUV really is the way to go.

Your situation is somewhat more justified I think than the average situation. I know of several families that have 2 or more SUVs, and it's pretty ridiculous. I still think minivans are the way to go, but as I said... your situation is somewhat more justified.

I'm totally with you on this one. If you want big, get a minivan or something that is still governed by gas mileage regulations.

and what REALLY gets me going is when people drive HUMMERS around RIVERSHYRE, for goodness sake! And they look so very proud of themselves, like they have personally conquered something.

I know... if I had that much money, why would I ever want to buy a Hummer? I'm with you on that one.
