hey....you don't know me, but...
i used to work at jcpenney and let me warn you, people are CRAZY around christmas time. ESP. the day after thanksgiving. lol so here are some helpful facts to help you survive this chaotic time:

fact #1- customers will fight traffic, police officers, and mothers with crying kids til they get what they want. if this includes grabbing things from other peoples hands and running, they will indeed do just that. people get frantic... they'll even steal your underwear
fact #2- if your store opens at 5 in the morning like mine did, then it is certainly true that people have ALL of their christmas shopping done by 9 AM. so then of course they'll ask you to double bag everything when you have a line out the door, they'll ask for more boxes then they truly need....and they'll finish by asking you for gift receipts for everything but a few items (after you've already finished the sale)

and last but not least...
fact #3- staplers thrown by disgruntled customers really ARE painful

lol thanks for the advice, the day after Thanksgiving is gonna be crazy and I do have to be there at 5am (ahh), I'll try to make sure I keep all staplers (and all other heavy objects for that matter) away from the customers reach. Did someone really throw a stapler at you?!

it was a little after thanksgiving. she brought in a pair of socks to return and she didn't have the receipt. she told me she payed $12 for them, but now, they were coming up $6. so i told her that since she didn't have a receipt, there was no proof of what she payed for them so i had to give her cash back for just the lowest selling price, 6 not 12.

she got mad and threw my stapler at me.

she was escorted out of the mall by mall security
