Apparently, baby chicks are extremely tough for the first few days, and can be dropped from great heights and can do without food and water with no harm.
Chickens are dumber than a bag of shit. Vegans will jump down your throat and tell you it's bad to eat them, but chicken really are not very bright. Trust me, I've lived on a farm.
Meanwhile, the entire vegan argument is a crock, because animals eat other animals to survive. Lets have club a vegan day! We can serve them to starving homeless people. ;-)
HAHAHAHA!! i am a vegetarian also, and i laughed a LOT. i still felt a bit bad that they were shot out as if from a cannon, but they all got up and ran around in the end, so i suppose they aren't hurt.
Apparently, when they are very little, chicks have so little body mass that they cannot fall very fast, and cannot get injured, no matte how far they fall.
Maybe it's like when an ant falls a picnic table and just walks away. For us, a proportionate fall would kill us, because we have such dense body mass.

Isn't there a more human way to transport chicks from a crate to the ground?!
