I hate this as well. My eyesight can be pretty fugzy as times and I hate having to sort through small print, pink text on a fuchsia field, busy backgrounds and all of that nonsense.

I can be terrible at punctuation and spelling but I make a stab at it because I understand that it's *my* responsibility to make what I want to say clear and understandable. I think some people (and I'll avoid turning all ageist because some people my age do this fol-de-rol as well) feel that their (trite)words and (cliched, random) thoughts are *so* profound that we should all gladly suffer eyestrain to read them.

The heck with them.
