The kinds of women who protest Victoria's Secret lingeree window displays as offensive,

often are also the kinds of women who would not look good in Victoria's Secret lingeree.

Heh, someone has been listening to O&A again, and once again you speak the truth. People who do this have too much free time on their hands and are probably wrestling with their own demons or are jealous.

Or perhaps some of them are actually attractive, but feel that this promotes a sexist, women seen as object type of society.

I can't see why any liberated woman would feel that way. Our bodies are wonderful, and we should be allowed to feel sexy and beautiful for OURSELVES.

It's sexist and degrading to assume that a man is the only reason a woman bothers to take care of her appearance.

That is a given (outwardly at least) but there are far better ways to achieve the goal of teaching young women about good body images than to media whore a pitiful protest of one store of a major chain. I half suspect that this woman is a plant for Victoria's Secret as this has generated a great deal of publicity for them. I went to a women's college for 3 years and the women I knew who spearheaded these sorts of efforts were generally somewhat humorless creatures ( ... )

And then feminists wonder why no one takes them seriously.
