CHARACTERS: distinctive_guy and [OPEN] DATE: Sept 01 (Day 8, night) RATING: General, maybe a bit of violence SUMMARY: Eliot's working off some energy in the training hall, anyone want to join?
Erik needed to work off some of his extra energy, both physically and mentally. If they were going to have to compete in games, he would have to be in peak physical condition, along with his powers. He hated that he had to play the game but if it would get him and Charles (along with the others) off this island quickly, then so be it. He'd play along for now.
Dressed in sweat pants, Erik moved into the training room, a flicker of a frown hitting his face when he saw he wasn't alone. Well, he could share well enough. If the other had an issue of him practicing his powers, well...the other could leave. Or catch a dumbbell in the face.
Giving Eliot a slight nod, Erik went over to the stationary bike to warm up.
Erik shrugged. "Manipulate, bend...break." He chuckled slightly, moving to actually start working out with the weights himself. "I can stop a bullet shot at point blank range.
That was very useful, and very powerful if it was to be believed. Yet he had seen enough to at least give the benefit of doubt.
"How far does it reach?" he asked next, still sounding just like a curious man met with something new. He used the fascination to mask the importance of the next question. "Can you sense anything out there, beyond the water's edge?"
"Quite far--but I can't feel anything past the water." Erik frowned slightly. "Which means that there are no boats, ships...submarines." Unless they had some way of blocking his abilities, which would be more troubling.
The corner of Eliot's eye twitched barely perceptibly as the implication of that got across. Perhaps not a holding facility with fake horizons, at least not close enough. He still didn't know Erik's range though. Outwardly, he frowned thoughtfully. "How about below?"
"Nothing." Erik shook his head, his fingers squeezing his thigh as he attempted to control his frustration. "They seem to have planned for some of us."
"Good ta know we're not in some large metal cage," Eliot muttered, although that was possibly the least reassuring thing he said. If it was a false island contained in a giant container, he would have found a way out. Now they were truly stuck.
Eliot made a face and returned to his own weight lifting in silence. He needed a moment of thought, and he didn't like any of the conclusions his mind was leading him.
