Erik/Magneto and his motley crew! token_vengeance September 29 2011, 00:58:47 UTC
[So the little game has begun. They have little choice but to participate--Erik knows this. Staying behind might not turn out well; but even if they could, he would have come to this. Action over stasis, offense instead of defense.

Charles can't come, obviously. But the talk has been had--as long as the telepath doesn't attempt to control Erik's actions, the helmet will stay off. They have to work together on this. The mutants are coming with him, and anyone else who might join in.

Humans, mutants, he doesn't care at this point. Erik is pragmatic above all things. They have to survive, and they have to get off this island. That means working with everyone regardless of powers.

Waiting on the path, he checks his watch. The others need to show soon.]

[ooc: action or prose is fine--I'm going with Action just to get this going.]

[Wandering.]

[Wandering.]

[He's heard some shit about this quest or mission or some shit. This...was a game right? So this made sense. And he should probably play. Plus it'd be fun to get his motherfucking hands dirty in some beautiful slaughtering. Well, if he did get to kill anything. Gamzee assumed he would get to, but you can't get your hopes up. So for now he's keeping his cool, idly wandering about until he spots this guy. Okay, sniff sniff, a human.]

Hopefully you're not one of the MOTHERFUCKING PUSSIES running around, like most of you pinky pansies are. I don't want none of you motherfuckers up and dragging a brother DOWN WITH THEM... [A smirk rolls over his painted lips as he scans the human. He looks a bit older then the humans he's met so far. If this guy is human...]

[Erik raises an eyebrow at the other's language, but less so at the appearance. He hasn't encountered a troll as of yet, but his experience with mutants makes him more inclined to believe that Gamzee is one of the latter.]

If you're referring to humans, I'm not one of them.

[Erik doesn't care if this man chooses to stay around, or move on. But he isn't intending on being held back by anyone, either.]

[ooc: Eventually we'll all head to the bottom thread--feel free to chat it up here, then move there after a bit, etc. Otherwise we'll never get movement :)]

[ And around the corner comes Peter, walking at a brisk pace, hands shoved into his pockets. As badly as he wanted to get out of this place, he'd been apprehensive, terrified that he'd be forced to work with Sylar to do it. He was half expecting his self proclaimed arch-enemy to jump out from behind the nearest tree and demand that they work together.

Just like friends would.

And yet there was Erik to save the day and Peter let go of an instantaneous sigh of relief, making his way over to the other man. ]

How many are we waiting for?

[Erik gives Peter a grim smile. He's...happy to have the other by his side. A powerful mutant, to say the least. He might not have had full control over his abilities yet--but the potential is there.]

Mystique, Beast, Banshee. Possibly Bruce, if he chooses to show.

[His mutants; a group that Peter is now fully a part of. He'd need a code name, eventually. A name that meant something to him--not the name of the humans.]

Charles will be helping, as well. Don't be alarmed if you hear or feel him in your head. I have a feeling we'll need all the help we can get.

So sorry for starting another thread on you. distinctive_guy September 29 2011, 12:52:03 UTC
[Eliot wasn't even intending to play the so-called 'game', or was even aware that the short terse text was meant to be a mission. What he was aware of was the tremors on the island got worse, and the strangeness required investigating.

Or so he told Hardison.

Truth was, he searched everywhere for Parker short of the office -he ain't going in again alone- over the last several days and there was nothing. No trace, no body. By now he was already thinking the worse had happened and he only had to find the remains. The one place left he hadn't searched yet was the forest and this was as good a chance to explore there as any.

He walked alone through the night with only a riot baton in hand and Hardison in his ear as company. His other communicator, the one supplied by Kernos, hung unused over the same ear.]

I'm reachin' the forest gates now...

[Eliot trailed off when he realized several figures were gathered there, one of whom he recognized as Erik. There was no way around them without getting noticed ( ... )

[Hardison was already working at the fastest pace his fingers could flit across the keyboard, drawing up every scrap of information he, Parker and Eliot had managed to gather so far during their stay there.

Parker...

No. This was time to focus on the mission. They would find Parker. She probably just needed some personal time. To figure things out. That's why her comms never responded. Surely. He shook his head, flipping the camera feed window open to be Eliot's second set of eyes out there.]

Ok, yeah, I see you. Keep an eye out for Parker while you're out there. I've got your back from here, much as I can. Eliot, you sure about this, man? [There was the sound of a deep breath on the other end of the earbud and a muttered 'no turning back, now'.]

I recognize most of them. Pulling up files. Get back to you in a second.

Perhaps in someone else's, but not mine.

[Meaning that Erik isn't going to just let other people tag along--not unless he approves. This is serious to say the least, and if he can't trust someone, he'll make sure they don't come any where near his group.

Lucky for Eliot, however, the man had proved his...worth. He is a human, yes, but sometimes there has to be compromises made. And the man understands the stakes, at least. It's worth something.]

You're free to join. If you slow us down, however, you'll be left. Is that clear?

[Considering the abilities Eliot saw Erik display before, he wasn't offended in the least by the words. He met the man's eyes and nodded, grin slipping down a notch to share the stage with solemnity.]

Yeah, gotcha.

[A single reply that went to both the people he was talking to, both there and not there. The mutant might sense Eliot's other company from the small wires in the extra earbud that he always had in his ear, as opposed to the common communicator on top.]

Whenever you're ready.

[Another shared message.]

What's your plan for this then?

[[OOC: I'll tag both places for a bit then. :D]]

[Erik knows, and for now he doesn't mind. There is Charles in his head too, after all.]

Not sure yet.

[He gives the other a quick smirk. See, that's the thing about Erik; plans aren't something he's overly interested in, most of the time.]

just a suggestion, maybe we should start continous threading now instead of making new ones? :o gamma_effect September 29 2011, 16:27:57 UTC
[Bruce is standing off to the side, as far away from attention-getting as he can manage. He's without his backpack today, without his hat, but quiet as he is he's perfectly alert.

Habitual paranoia will do that to you. Unless he sees anything worth mentioning, though, he's not about to say anything. He's just here for the token. He has no idea how much use he'll actually be.]

I like your suggestion, so I'm going to thread off you. Haha! ruinedu2 September 30 2011, 04:08:12 UTC
[Coming up alongside Bruce, Olivia glances at the rest of the group and tilts her head in that direction, teasing:] I don't think they have cooties.

[There's a fresh bruise near her hairline, and she rolls her right shoulder as if it needs limbering up. Her firearm is still in its holster at her hip. She's here because sitting idle will drive her crazy, and yield no answers.]

OKAY TOLD EVERYONE TO EVENTUALLY SHOW UP HERE. Um...try to work out a posting/order. fFF token_vengeance September 30 2011, 16:07:46 UTC
[Erik sees Bruce and nods, a flicker of a smile on his lips. He's happy that the other mutant decided to join them. He might prove valuable before the day is out...or might quickly become a liability. This is the test of his hunch. Hopefully it proves right.

He notices the human standing near him, and says nothing. The woman seems to be able to handle herself--and while he doesn't know her, Erik at this point isn't interested in questions. If she tries anything, she's dead. It's an easy decision, even though Erik knows he'll have Charles sniping in his head about it.]

Glad you decided on this look, Mystique.

[He turns to look down at her, giving her a confident nod; she knows the female mutant still needs help building her confidence--but this is necessary. In her natural form Raven will be of more help; he won't have to worry about her as much.]

We should get moving.

[ooc: So bad at this; ERIK ORGANIZES I don't. But yeah, tag at will, just try and move things forward--um...yeah. Am I making any sense? There might end up being... ( ... )

[He shoots a brief glance at Olivia and decides not to comment on the obvious injury, or the gun.]

They don't. I'm just not a group person. [It really has nothing to do with how Raven looks or anyone else, to be honest. Bruce tries not to cast stones.

He does offer Erik and Raven, nearby, a nod of acknowledgement. At least if he's going to do this and branch out, it'll be with people that understand his dilemma. Even if he's not sure he can completely agree with their perspective on it.]

[She smiles up at Erik, chin up. Whatever this was, they would face it. She has trained for nearly a week back home after all.]

You are now, Bruce. [Said over her shoulder.]

So what exactly are we supposed to do? [She walked along, at Erik's side, but following his lead. It was more of a 'what now?' question.]
