[ And Hadesu is in the middle of his running around with supplies, setting up a portable first aid station in a cart of his own design-- but it's getting tiring and the basics are done, so he's stopping by as he takes a break. The man's worried expression catches his attention immediately. ]

Hello; is something happening?

No, no, I don't mean to alarm you, [he assures hastily.] Well-- plenty of things are happening, of course, but nothing that's terribly concerning.

I'm just not used to this method of... of providing support.

Oh, I see. I'm not good with technology, myself. My students finally helped me get a cell phone, but well...

[ He smiles, completely understanding. At least they both work in schools! ]

It seems to be very handy, though. An extra set of eyes always helps, in dangerous situations.

I'm Itsuhito Hadesu, a doctor at Tokofushi Middle School in Tokyo, Japan. It's nice to meet you.

Handy, yet completely befuddling, [he agrees wryly, feeling an instant kinship despite himself.]

Rupert Giles, formerly a high school librarian in California. You're setting up a medical station, then?

Ah yes, of course. I already had a cart prepared with a sort of emergency station inside and plenty of supplies, but I've also prepared some water-tight storage boxes inside of every gate with well-stocked first aid kits. Then I've brought more supplies to the base here as further backup-- I do hope it'll be enough if anything does happen.

[ Oh, so he was right. He did hear English, although it sounded accented in a way he couldn't place. The doctor smiles, inclining his head politely. ]
