SUMMARY: KERNOS may not provide a standard Halloween party, but Striders don't disappoint.

[Right. Spiked punch. This kid here has discovered it already. Because every Halloween party needs a drunk six year old dressed like the White Rabbit from hell. Of course he currently has the mask pushed back enough so that he can sip at his cup of punch while he surveys the party. Chimera's never been to an event like this before, so everything is new and fascinating and he wants to commit all of it to memory. Except for the smells, those he wishes he could block out because some of them aren't too pleasant. Sometimes he hates his sensitive nose.

But that's just a minor hitch in things. He really likes his costume, for a plus. He may be a chicken, but there's something rewarding in dressing up as something frightening for a special occasion. It also helps that he doesn't have to look at the mask or anything. If he did, he'd probably get nightmares from it.]

[That'd be a bicycle horn behind you, honking near one of the long fake rabbit ears.]

[He's pretty excited about your costume too, but you don't nearly have as much 'fake' blood on you as he does. Just dripping cerulean blood here, how fun.]

[Oh. He was wondering why that horrible smell was getting closer. At least his flinch is barely noticeable. He's too polite to even say 'you smell bad' though, so he'll just...try to ignore it as he turns to see where that noise came from. He's also going to hope now that Gamzee doesn't end up getting blood on him. That would be unpleasant.]

[The troll smiles, face splitting, ear to ear as his lips curl. The hand on curled around a horn moves up to imitate a rabbit ear.]

[It's horrible. You're also kind of intimidating, Gamzee, but Chimera's intimidated by a lot of people, after all. He just doesn't show it. He's focusing instead on speaking up a little to be heard over the music because he's generally pretty soft spoken.]

Uhm, I think it's supposed to be a darker version of the White Rabbit from Alice in Wonderland. It's, uhm, a book. And a movie.

[He wants to ask what Gamzee's supposed to be, but...he's not sure if there's an actual costume there or just smears of...things he probably doesn't want to think about.]

Uhm. It's about a girl who falls down a rabbit hole and ends up in this place called Wonderland. Where there's a crazy Red Queen and the White Rabbit and talking animals. And magic mushrooms...pretty sure the author was high when he wrote the book.

[Because Chi knows what blood smells like. And he's not sure he wants to find out where it came from.]

[Oh. Oh dear. This seems like a touchy subject. If he'd known that, he would have...said something else. Except Alice in Wonderland is all about drugs and getting high and bad things. Also, Chimera is small, so yanking results with him jerking back and forth a little.]

Oh. Of course not. It's not good, just...I didn't pick it or anything, it was on my bed when I woke up and I didn't know if there was anything else around, and as a costume, it's pretty cool. [Breathe, Chimera, breathe.]
