First, Gay and Lesbian channel? Must be in Canada... (that or they renamed Bravo).

Secondly, what is that show's specific selling point to the gay community again???

I'm fairly certain it has to do with Jaye's sister, Karen Tyler, who identifies as a lesbian. There is, after all, a lesbian relationship in many of the episodes, between her and the UPS guy's ex-wife, who doesn't actually identify as a lesbian.

Dur...and that is why you only post when fully awake. Although it seems to be an almost non-issue in the show really...although I guess it is a in a few episodes.

So far the network seems prett all right, except for the blatant generalizations they made in a documentary about queer representation on tv. "Gays have always been drawn to camp" (in reference to the Carol Burnett Show). What?!

I don't know if they announced the schedule for Wonderfalls yet. As maskofsmiles said, it just launched this past Thursday.
