Sarah Walker frowned a little as she steered her Jeep into the parking lot. It made no sense - why was there a lot in Alexandria when her new home was way over in Maryland?

But, then, a lot of things hadn’t made sense lately. Bryce being back, Chuck rejecting her ... Sarah all but getting fired.

Tully and Mr. Twain were on a ride around the island, exercise for the horse, a break from work for Tully.

He smiled and waved to the newcomer. And he just couldn't resist. He touched his fingers to the brim of his hat. "Ma'am."

A cowboy, that was quaint. Sarah acknowledged him with a nod of her own. "Good afternoon."

"You need a lift anywhere?"

"I'm good, thanks," Sarah said easily.
