Nightclub, Baltimore, Saturday Night

For once in her life, Sarah was happy in an almost uncomplicated way as she and Daisy walked into the club. it had been a good week, and it was rare for her to get a night entirely off. "Drinks!" Daisy announced as she shrugged off her own. "Then dancing, then ditching this place for karaoke if it seems to blah, but it," or, rather, the current crowd, "looks promising so far, though."

"It looks like a good crowd," Sarah agreed. "And I don't hate this song, whatever it is." She didn't know it, but she swayed to the beat a little as she wandered to the bar.

"What are you having?"

Daisy's head was starting to bob a little on its own, as well. The beat, of course, was off; there was a beat in her head that she didn't even know was there that made it impossible for her to have any discernible rhythm, but she never let that stop her.

"Vodka and orange," she nodded. "Nothing better. You?"

"I think I'll have the same," Sarah decided, as she smiled to flag down the bartender. She didn't normally drink that much; whatever Daisy was going to have was fine by her lights.

"I can't remember the last time I had a night out with no work involved," she confessed. "Which probably makes me sound about 60."
