So, I got my laptop working. It's weird to think that the voltage and plug sockets are the same as Japan, but ... that's not something I'm going to complain about. This place has got to have some perks, right ( Read more... )

No. If there was an electricity supply throughout the entirety of the city, it probably wouldn't be difficult to form some kind of connection. That is, if there was anything to connect to - even if the internet was blocked, as long as there was something, it'd be possible.

I figured just as much. I was doubtful there was any sort of signal to pick up, though I'd think once you get further from the city, it may be possible to pick up on a wireless or WiFi connection of some sort.

Perhaps. Depends how close another city is. This place doesn't strike me as having quite so many wireless signals as Japan not to mention this place has been pretty well isolated.
