Confession time - I've been following this series since the start but that was also during a really rough patch IRL so I haven't had the energy to comment. But now shit's calmed down and there's still a fresh chapter waiting for me? I'd be an even bigger asshole than usual to not say how much I've been enjoying this. Such a dangerously subtle AU and utterly beautiful interpretations of the characters within that context and oh, this chapter in particular and the reveal of McCoy's recent history... just heartbreaking. *nuzzles her Bones*

Wonderful story, thanks so much for continuing with it! Promise I'll be commenting from here on out. *sheepish grin*

Aw, thank you! No worries - I totally understand. Sometimes commenting just doesn't make it to the top of my fandom list in terms of time and energy, let alone the whole life list.

I'm glad you have been enjoying. Next part is up!

Wow! I really like Jocelyn's story. I also like that Leonard helped her out. Reminds me of those beautiful stories you hear in regards to repressed people/times. I can't help but root for Jocelyn's decision to stand by the love of her life and tough it out with their daughter. Of course, I feel bad for Leonard's situation, but his acceptance of her decision speaks volume for his character. Anything else would depict him as selfish and villainous. By helping them leave, it really feels like the right thing to do.
I am just loving the details and flows in this story. Even the secondary plot lines are well delivered and juicy~

Oh, that was an awesome backstory for McCoy. As many reviewers have said, perfectly in character.

I like this story, because in many ways it's similar to the mirror!verse in the way the non-mods are kept in check; there's a lot of jockying for power and political back-biting. But what I really like is that McCoy is the one who has the power, here, even if it makes him uncomfortable. It's a nice switch from the "traditional" master!Jim to servant!Bones, but in an entirely different context. It's a fun ride!
