Check out the mythbusters site. They may have info on the myth of the guy that got shot when he put a bullet in his fuse box so he could get home and ended up shooting himself. I think, if I remember right, that with enough power, the bullet did end up going off, but it wasn't fast enough to actually pierce skin....I think.
I assume he was using the bullet in some way to replace a section of wire or something, reasoning that the metal would conduct the charge. Still, can't get my head around this one at all...sounds like someone didn't want to admit what REALLY happened.
I thinking he was just using the bullet as a mallet or hammer. Like trying to straighten out the strands of copper without poking his finger, and then somehow setting off the primer???

Still, it just doesn't make sense. Why would you wire a bullet in there when you can just twist the wires together?
