01. I unlocked/deleted any locked fic and unadded everyone so now all the Libs fans can unadd me at will. Something I probably should have done a very long time ago. :)
02. Old school watchers might remember
albion_smack.
hatoyona and I brought that back, better then ever, to house the stuff we write when we're bored. So if you ever found yourself thinking, "huh, I wonder what Jasbah and Casbah's take on Brendon and Spencer hotboxing a bathroom was" or "man, I could really go for a Shrek au right about now!" it's there.
03.
hatoyona and I were talking about Brendon Urie which we often do, when I insulted him so bad he probably felt in England. Then I felt bad and wrote panic gsf about him. (It made him feel better.)
Not Much Had Changed (1000, panic pre-gsf)
This is Brendon's.
Spencer knows better than to be staring, but. Brendon's a lot taller than the girl he’s kissing, lankier around her curves. He wraps himself completely in her space. She fills him out, he fills her in. Sweet.
Spencer knows better than to be staring, not at the press of Brendon's fingers on her jawline, not at them, pressed into a wall. They're giggling. Of course they're giggling, they're just kids. He tries not to laugh with them, or at them, but it’s cute and cliched in turns.
Spencer knows better than to be staring, but he allows himself a brief moment of slack-jawed appraisal. It’s not hot, but it’s good, two kids who like each other, two kids who like to kiss. He squints and turns back into the dressing room. "Brendon?" queries Ryan, swiping his face clean of makeup and frowning at his reflection. Jon’s at his side, making faces and telling him he missed a spot, you missed a spot, you’re going to look like an idiot in front of the fans, hey, here.
Spencer knows better than to be staring at that either, but when the frown on Ryan’s face turns to bemusement, he can’t help it. Jon elbows Ryan and takes the cloth from him and rubs at the corner of Ryan’s eyes, making cooing noises. Ryan grins and his brow creases.
Spencer knows better than to be staring, but Jon catches his eye in the mirror and winks.
Brendon shoves Spencer up against a wall. Right in front of Ryan, otherwise, Ryan thinks, he'd have preferred not to see that, Brendon's hands on Spencer's hips, leaning up to get at his lips.
Brendon shoves Spencer up against a wall, and Spencer doesn't push him away. That's weird, Ryan decides, weird that Spencer's hands drift to Brendon's arms, until Brendon shrugs him off, touching Spencer's jawline. And that’s weird, that for all the violence of the action, they kiss gently, like children.
Brendon shoves Spencer up against a wall, and it’s weird that he did it when Ryan was coming out of the bathroom, like he knew Ryan would be damp from the shower, relaxed and clean, easy. Brendon doesn’t orchestrate things, except sometimes, Ryan knows, sometimes he does. He’s seen them circling, anyway. Kicking their feet in the pool, tackling each other during Bring It On reruns. At night before bed, eyes dark.
Brendon shoves Spencer up against a wall, and it's their first kiss, and Ryan walks away, downstairs. So he’s only got his pyjama bottoms on, whatever. Jon will not judge him. Jon might try to hug him, but Jon will not judge him.
Brendon shoves Spencer up against a wall, and Ryan looks back, just once. Hands on jaws, on the backs of heads. Their sweet, careful kisses.
Jon's not surprised, but. But he is, sort of, when he walks into the kitchen that morning and sees Brendon, pushing Ryan against the counter, one hand at the back of his head, the other drumming fingers against Ryan's jaw, turning his head just so. He kisses Ryan who smiles into it, eyes closed.
Jon's not surprised. It’s Ryan and Brendon. He thought they did that when they were teenagers, maybe, but maybe they hadn’t. It’s a lot like a first kiss, a little bit starstruck on Brendon’s side, a little bit pleased on Ryan’s. "Your stupid beard," huffs Ryan, pulling away. He doesn’t see Jon, but that’s okay, and that’s to be expected because he’s got Brendon, right there and close, commanding his attention.
Jon’s not surprised, but he does wish Spencer was around to break the tension, to raise an eyebrow and make a face, to elbow Jon suggestively, to watch them and not be surprised like Jon isn’t. Or that Brendon and Ryan weren’t kissing right in front of the cereal cabinet in their pyjamas. Jon kinda wishes that too. But he thinks he wants Spencer around more.
Jon's not surprised when Brendon says, "yeah, okay," like he'll do it, he'll get rid of it, just for Ryan, and he leans in again. Jon rubs his eyes and decides to go for a walk. He isn’t hungry anyway. Brendon giggles just as Jon leaves the kitchen and Jon knows he’s busted.
Jon’s not surprised by Brendon’s delight in that at all.
Brendon already has them, already has them in his room with his lyric sheets and his guitar and his clothes on the floor. He has Spencer and Ryan on the bed, curled up together, waiting for him, and he's standing with his arms crossed in front of Jon, frowning.
Brendon already has them, and so now they have to wait for him, him and Jon. In the corner of his eye, he sees Spencer wrap his fingers in Ryan’s. But this isn’t them now, this is Jon, Brendon wants Jon. Jon looks nervous, then angry, then nervous again. Then sad. Brendon thinks maybe he should have gotten Jon first but maybe, maybe not. Probably not. And there’s a shift on the bed that means Spencer’s ready to jump in, wants to make everything better. Brendon frowns.
Brendon already has them, but he's greedy and impatient, which is why he takes over. He shoves Jon like he did with Spencer, steps right up to him like he did with Ryan and presses his fingers on Jon’s jaw. Pressing so that Brendon can tilt their heads and kiss him. The action is gentle but the kiss is not, it's not nice like his first kiss with Spencer, or starstruck like every kiss with Ryan will always be. They kiss rough, and Jon’s pushing back, but Brendon’s in control. This belongs to him.
Brendon already has them and he wants Jon too. He pushes back until Jon folds and Brendon can grin, mouth twisting up against Jon’s and he grabs Jon’s arm, pulling him towards the bed, saying, "okay?" And Jon says, "okay."
Brendon already has them, and now he has Jon too.
hatoyona made it better and this belongs to her. Title from a JoBro/Busted song.
