On Thursday night i performed two of my poems at an open mic, which i found out was a contest after i arrived, and i won first place.  I was voted for by a room of students, mostly creative writing majors.  I won a $100 gift certificate to the university bookstore, but i felt like a million bucks.  It was so great to get to perform, and more ( Read more... )

I will say this year sucked a lot.  Most of you were not around to bear witness to my sucking, so you'll have to believe me from afar.

The good thing is that my Hot Topic bag corset is a finalist in the NICHE awards, and the final judging is some time in February.

Now i'm going to clean things. 

 

I had decided that i would be Tank Girl this Halloween, but i think i embody that character too much in my real life for it to be as much fun as simply being...unrecognizable.  Something my classmates would not associate with me.  Or not right away.  I don't have the time to construct an elaborate costume, so it will have to be something easy.  I ( Read more... )
