Well, Robert already has it, too so contractability is a moot point now. lol Apparently it's usually mild but if their airway gets too inflamed, they could have trouble breathing and then it could progress in to other issues and pneumonia.

The cost is the no brainer for me. (Teachers have the BEST insurance. lol) It's just the time and the struggle with the boys and the wasted time if/when they tell me to keep on doing what I am already doing. But, on the other hand, the coughing is really terrible and I really am hoping there is SOMETHING they can give the boys.

I am probably going to hem and haw all night and then call and make an appointment in the morning. lol

Side note: spinal meningitis BLOWS. Even the antibiotics for it blow. lol

I'd bring them in to be on the safe side. When Liv gets the cough but nothing else and then suddenly starts having a fever or acting lethargic, she most likely has an ear infection and/or pneumonia...but thats my kid. And on a bad-mom-side-note: I hate taking her to the dr for two reasons....
1) its a hassle physically bringing her there then getting meds then going home, etc. i always feel like i need a nap
2) the pediatricians never fail to make me feel like a failure as a parent for her sickness or some other decision i may have made as a parent and because i'm younger than 25 which means i must be incompetent....

sorry, i obviously have some doctor issues.

Take them into the bathroom and run a hot shower until your hot water runs out. Repeat several times a day. Take them in only if it's getting progressively worse, or if they get high fevers.
