My dad is a gadget guy. He loves novelty technology of all kinds. He is one of the few people in this world who not only knows what a CueCat is, but actually has one that functions in his study. When my sons were born, he ran out and bought a two foot tall robot "for them". The robot lives with my parents so, one can figure out who it was really ( Read more... )

Don't worry about the three under three thing. It'll work out fine. In the earlier years, it's harder than for people with larger gaps but as they get older, they are so close and it makes life a LOT easier. And personally, I think the more children you have the easier it is - with three, if one child wants some space to themselves, the other two have someone to play with so don't wind the other one up by hassling them to play. Well don't wind them up quite as much...

Seriously - it'll be more than OK. You'll end up wondering why you ever worried about no.3.

(Just to clarify - we're soon going to be a family of 4 under 6, so I'm not just trying to make you feel better - it really is great having a larger family)

Oh cool! I used to have a CueCat, but it didn't work with speech, so I passed it on. It was cool looking though. I loved the robot story and how you related it to what's going on in your life. Definitely one of my favorites this week!

My dad always said that if we waited to have children till we could afford them, we'd never have any children. But if we had them when we wanted them, we always found a way to manage.

((hugs)) Have faith and things will get better.

I wish you well in your pregnancy and making ends meet. I'm sure things are not the easiest right now.
