i swear i'm not being paranoid, though. i've heard stories of people that were nearly signed to a book contract, until the publisher checked out their blog and saw parts of the manuscript up on the website.

and anyway, i demand at least 5%.

I actually understand where you're coming from. I am really paranoid about what I write, and I never, ever put it on the web, or email it. In fact I heard this rule that if you print your written work, and email it to yourself it has some strange copyright rule. I don't know something I heard.
