all good things...

Apr 27, 2007 22:14

I was going to post tonight.

Then I figured, whatever. None of you would read it anyway. My life is boring, and my writing, let's be honest, is lame.

So instead, I'm going to do something that I've thought about doing for a while now.

I'm retiring my blog.

This doesn't mean that I don't want to talk to you guys. I definitely, definitely do. Just not ( Read more... )

My first reaction was: "Oh no you didn't."

I find that reading your journal is generally engrossing and interesting. In spite of this, the ultimate choice to keep the journal going is your own. I'm not going to come to your dorm room and bust down your door and kick you in the head so that you keep rolling with thing. I'm really glad you are letting your novel get big. I hope we will still have a chance to collaborate in some way. Either over the internets or in person. This weekend, after finals, I am going to get some serious stuff done. Oh man.

Anyway, I am trying to multi-task right now...(Watching Dogma, writing this, listening to the jokes getting cracked in the other room)...so, before I go on a major tangent...keep up the good work, eh?

:D

Well, I have a lot of different ideas in mind...

I dunno if you have your guitar at UCLA, but if you do then we could definitely exchange licks. Also, songwriting and all that business is definitely good stuff. On top of that, if you're ever in town, you could either come over or I could send you compressed files via email. There is a PC compatable program called "Audible" that you can use to edit an MP3. It works on Mac too, so if you want to do things that way, we would be good in the hood.

With that being said, either email or AIM me, and we can go from there. I am definitely ready to making things work.

i have a song recording program with even more bells and whistles than Audible; the problem is i don't have a good microphone to record into. any suggestions are welcome...

Thou our lives change, from whatever. We will still be... friends forever. allisyellow April 29 2007, 19:29:43 UTC
I will really miss this. But I guess all good things come to an end sometime. Yours was one of the main reasons I went on lj anymore, I'll just have to talk to you more in other ways.

I'm just glad you let me read your stuff, even though it's not here.

You're a great writer, Danny. And you'll only get better. I'm looking forward to it.

Something I forgot to add.

You have a way with words. You could talk about something horrifying or crazy or ridiculous and make it sound beautiful. I've always thought that about you. It was actually one of the things that attracted me to you in the first place.

Just don't ever stop writing entirely. The world would lose something great.

It truly has been lots of fun. Im pretty sure I've read all 542 posts and have actually taken a lot away from some of your more profound ones, when you went through that philosophical phase. It will be missed but I look forward to whatever you channel this creativity into next.

At least we can still enjoy entries like http://snowwolf3388.livejournal.com/3051.html on mine, still. Good times! See you soon.
