about a week ago i changed my livejournal to not allow anyone who isn't a friend to post a comment.

my reason for this is because if i don't know you, then i don't give one fuck about what you think or what your opinions are. with all due respect.

Were you having problems with people you didn't know posting opinions about you and your life? *curious* That seems to happen to a lot of my friends, but never to me. I'm almost envious--I never get any flamers. lol Just weirdos, of course ;p

i only had one comment from some anonymous person. they really didn't have any malice intentions, but that still didn't change the fact of why i would care anyway. i know i sound stupid, but it just irks me that someone leaves an anonymous comment with no way of contacting them to maybe find out who they are. if i had a way to disable anonymous comments only but people who have a lj account could still leave comments, i think i would do that instead, but i don't think that option is available.

ha! i AM stupid! i just looked over the options there and there IS a way to just disable anonymous posting!
