First of a series of translations I'll be doing-- and have already done XD This is the cross talk between Jun and Ryo from an older issue of Duet. I found their interaction pretty interesting, considering they do seem to have somewhat similar personalities.
Please comment if you read; thanks!
DISCLAIMER: I did a bunch of translating back to back and often late at night, so I haven't had the chance to really look over them and fix awkward sounding sentences or grammar mistakes here and there. Sorry if some things don't really make any sense! Just gimme a poke if something really confuses you and I'll try to explain it more fully. :3

Duet - Arashi IZM - 05/2004
Matsumoto Jun with Nishikido Ryo
For the Arashi Plan to grant the wishes of Arashi members, Matsumoto brought up the request of "hanging out with Nishikido". Though the two seem like they don't interact much, they actually get along quite well. Let's take a look at their cross talk!
---During the filming process, you took pictures of one another with your cellphones. Are you actually good friends who would exchange emails?
Jun: Even though it was Duet who forced us to take pictures of each other. It's really embarrassing!
Ryo: I would never do this type of thing (laugh).
Jun: But we really have exchanged emails before. Yesterday, I sent "About Duet tomorrow, yoroshiku", and Nishikido replied with "Yoroshiku ne".
Ryo: Aside from that we also send emails like "I've changed my number" or "My address changed" (laugh).
---Does this actually count as good friends who exchange emails...? You don't do things like seek one another out to discuss matters?
Jun: Nope.
Ryo: Nope.
Jun: Ah, at the time I sent a "Congrats on your debut" email to Nishikido.
Ryo: And I replied with a thank-you email... no wait, that time I gave him a call.
Jun: Right right, it was a call.
---At what point did you start exchanging emails?
Jun: Nishikido and I have a mutual friend, and it was after I chatted with that friend that I found out he was pretty close to Ryo too. One time, when Ryo came to Tokyo, the three of us met up together.
Ryo: Right, right.
Jun: This guy really is very strange, and because of that I became interested in Ryo.
Ryo: Really? What aspect?
Jun: You're unable to immediately blend in with your surroundings, right?
Ryo: Ah, I really can't blend in.
Jun: See! You share the same habit as me (laugh). That's why I wanted to meet up with you. Before, Nishikido gave people an impression of someone who's orthodox, and is serious about his singing. I remember you singing at Arashi's first concert tour.
Ryo: I sang with Jimmy.
Jun: It was Secret Agent Man, right?
Ryo: Right. And we also went on Music Station together too. We sang Sunrise Nippon and Secret Agent Man.
Jun: Right, we did something like that. But even though I met Nishiko in person at that time, we didn't interact much, and even when we did talk, Nishikido would use honorifics, so at the time I didn't know what kind of person Nishikido was at all.
Ryo: It was a senpai-kouhai relationship.
Jun: It was afterwards that I found out through a friend, Nishikido is actually a really interesting person.
---What does Nishikido think of Matsumoto?
Ryo: I originally thought Matsumoto-kun was very serious and hard to get close to (laugh). But when we ate dinner together, talking with him turned out to be very ordinary, and it was at that time that I realized, "oh, so he's actually a very considerate person". Hahaha! This is super embarrassing. What's with this cross talk (laugh).
Jun: That mutual friend is older than us by a year. Nishikido was very impudent when talking to him, but when he talked to me he actually used honorifics, and he still hasn't changed after all these years. I'm already twenty years old, and Nishikido's turning twenty this year too, right?
Ryo: Right.
Jun: So I'm really looking forward to Nishikido saying something very rude to me (laugh).
Ryo: No, I will never say anything rude to Matsumoto-kun in my entire life!
Jun: Why?
Ryo: Because it feels like I'll die a horrible death (laugh).
Jun: If it was another Jr. saying something rude to me, I might think "I'm going to make you cry!", but if it's Nishikido then it's okay (laugh).
Ryo: No no no, how can I possibly say anything mean to such a nice senpai (laugh).
Jun: See, you're faking it again (laugh). That's why we're still not friends yet; there's still a little ways to go (laugh).
---The two of you really are compatible with one another, but nothing's been decided yet, right?
Jun: Yeah. That's why, when we were taking pictures earlier, we also said that we should go and hang out more often. So what should we do?
Ryo: Anything's fine, I'm fine with anything.
Jun: Whatever Nishikido wants me to do, I'm willing to do it.
Ryo: Then, take me out around Tokyo (laugh).
Jun: Why are we hanging out in Tokyo (laugh). You've been here lots of times, you should be very familiar with it.
Ryo: Because I can't think of anything right now.
Jun: Then I got it. Bring all the clothes that you don't want next time, and we'll do an auction together. I have a big pile of clothes that I don't wear, and I really want to hold an auction with it. Nishikido probably has a lot of unwanted clothes too, right?
Ryo: I have lots back in Osaka.
Jun: Then you can ship those clothes here, bring them over to auction off, make money off that, and then we'll take that money and spend it all in Tokyo! (laugh)
Matsumoto Jun's Degree of Dream Achievement
★☆☆☆☆ (Five ★ = full marks)
"Even though seeing Nishikido was fun, we didn't go bowling or play anything, so it only gets one star." Matsumoto is very stringent! Though this is off topic, we heard that a few days after the interview, the two of them played darts together, and Matsumoto even said, "That place was more fun after all!" Hahaha.
