… So. If you’re reading this, it’s because I aged Thor up like I was planning and thus it’s time for some explanation.

Thor is now at the stage when he first began his superhero career in the Age of Marvels, or modern 616 Marvelverse history. At this point in canon, Thor’s spirit has been cast down from Asgard by Odin and bonded to the body and soul of a mortal, Dr. Donald Blake, in an effort to teach Thor humility by forcing him to endure mortal life. Blake, a surgeon handicapped by a lame leg, spends several years unaware of this connection to Thor until an incident while vacationing in Norway when he encounters Mjolnir, disguised by Odin in the form of a walking stick. By striking the stick against the ground, Blake is able to transform into Thor-mind, body, and spirit, with full access to his godly powers and abilities.

So here’s a mini Stats & Permissions meme for Thor-as-Blake.

Height: 6’6” (as Thor) / 6’ (as Blake)
Weight: 640lbs. (Thor) / … could use a sandwich? (Blake)
Eyes: blue (as both)
Hair: blond (as both)
Age: immortal (Thor) / mid-30s (Blake)

Note for Psychics: Blake and Thor have a shared consciousness-they both know what the other’s been doing whenever one transforms into the other, as if they were watching the whole time. However, both personalities are distinct and separate, with only the active persona available for reading-it takes Charles Xavier, the most powerful telepath on Earth, several minutes of reading Blake’s mind to even find any indication of Thor… So the odds are you won’t be able to discover their little secret from anything besides a deep scan.

Thor has very slight ESP on his own, and this is a trait that transfers into Blake’s body-Blake is aware of being psychically scanned, and can see astral and psychic projections meant to be visible only to other people.

Mjolnir: In its hammer form, Mjolnir is the same as you’ve all seen so far in camp-a phenomenally powerful magical artifact that only Thor can wield. In its walking stick disguise, however, it’s just that-a stick. There might be a slight magical hint to it, but nothing that would indicate even to those familiar with Mjolnir that that’s what it really is. It does seem to convey to Blake the ability to sense and track other magics and powers, but otherwise it shares no traits with Mjolnir… Meaning the enchantment that prevents all but the worthy from lifting the hammer isn’t in play-anyone can pick up the stick, but only Blake can transform it into the hammer. However if, while transformed, Thor is out of physical contact with Mjolnir for more than 60 seconds, he’ll immediately revert to Blake and the hammer reverts to a walking stick.

Power Level: This is Thor as an adult, so when transformed, he’s at his full power level-with strength that rivals the Incredible Hulk and enough magical power to go toe-to-toe with cosmically powered beings like the Silver Surfer and other Heralds of Galactus. He is the unabashed God of Thunder, a walking force of nature and the big gun of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, the Avengers… so yes, this qualifies as over 9,000.

Blake, however, is just a doctor-aside from the limited ESP and magic-sensing mentioned above, he’s a normal human… with a god living in his brain. He’s a damn good doctor, though?
