but reading this just make me more believe that the faction war does happens and as the owner/boss she just want to make it clear to Iijima that Iijima can not mess up with her daughter or else. because, if she didn't think that Iijima has guts to meddle with her daughter, then she wouldn't be so furious about this rumor right?
if i were her, and know that's no such a thing happens, then i won't give a damn on what rumor has it out there since i know the truth better than the outsiders myself.
i prefer to scold Iijima regarding how she (Iijima) manages her faction, coz her favoritism over some of the talents under her faction is just to obvious that it doesn't make sense at all! :p

maybe the interview was more to shut up the media. I'm not sure. It's clear that Julie will be the next president, but I don't think that it will be that easy to fire Iijima. Didn't Mary say it more than once in the interview that there is too much work?
So it was a warning for Iijima, but the problem about her favouritism isn't solved at all and I think Julie may also has some talents she favours more than other. That's only natural

Thank you so much! The fraction war is scary! I hate to wonder what will happen if the war continues... Mary is a very good mother. Her thoughts for Julie really touches my heart. I really hope this war thing ends now. I wish after it ends I can see interaction between SMAP and Arashi and others too. Like the old countdowns and Johnnys sports day where everyone gather together, talked together, play together and do anything without having to thing bout that fraction thingy! First of all, thanks for completing the translation of the article. I would say, this article is really intriguing. I am eager to know every single bit of it. So what I can say after I'm reading this is that, Mary-san has made it clear, that Julie would be the one to take over. She had used this interview to show how significant Julie's position in the company and in the same time send a warning to Iijima who's the boss. Seriously strict lady. In some aspect, I do respect her attitude. She is indeed a very confident woman, which is why she had succeeded.

I don't know how far the rumors about this faction war is true. But I really do hope it won't get out of hand and affects any of the talents because of power issue. For us fans, we enjoyed following them and I bet everyone want to enjoy it peacefully.
