Losing Money

Sometime back I finally decided to invest in Equity. So one fine day I just selected some companies at random(pseudo random actually) and invested some money in the. Totay I am looking at my portfolio and all I see is red red red!! Every time I refresh the page it goes a darker shade of RED!!! Wonder what to do.

I buy Premium Bonds. Shares seem risky. Actually I don't really know how the stuff works.
