Football Fever

Sunday...John and I met some friends at a sports restaurant (famous for their wings) and watched the Colts vs. Patriots ( Read more... )

Hooters? Buffalo Wild Wings?

Bryan & I have recently been watching Bears games (or whatever football game is on TV on Sunday). We cheer for the Bears pretty exclusively (Chicago loyalty runs deep in my blood), but yeah...I'm getting into the football thing too. Kind of. :)

It was Buffalo Wild Wings. Usually when I go to places like that, I'm looking for the TV screen that has the quizzes you can watch and play along with.

John is still a hardcore Bears fan (along with most of the guys in our small group) so we watch their games as well. Especially if it's close to small group time. Then we just meet up at our hosts house and watch the game before or after small group depending on the time.

When we lived in Eureka. We'd come home after church on Sunday. Jonathan would make us stop and get the Trib and then we were generally in for the day. So he'd be watching a game, which is like the only thing on TV in the middle of a Sunday and as we were flipping through the paper, we'd watch. Slowly over the weeks I became addicted. We'd just sit there all day until 60 minutes came on. But I was fascinated by watching these guys body's move. I'm a fan of the big plays and the big hits. So Jonathan would explain the rules and I'd watch. never watched football in my life. Now it is one of the things I really miss. My mom use to tape a game or two for us just for thanksgiving and that is what we do on thanksgiving afternoon in Africa. Of course one year she cut off the last 2 minutes of a game no one expected to be extraordinary. It was. It was huge ( ... )
