Summary: A phone call to Ryeowook was all it took to lift Kyuhyun’s spirits. Inspired from Kyuhyun’s elimination from Immortal Song 2.
It was with a heavy heart that Kyuhyun descended from the stage. Upon entering into the solidarity of the waiting room, his mask of graciousness cracked. He sank into the sofa, exhaling a long sigh. Defeat had left a bitter taste on his tongue.
He reached for his phone and dialed a train of numbers. His call was answered almost immediately.
“Kyuhyun?” Ryeowook’s voice floated from the other end, carrying with it the undertones of anticipation.
Quiet punctuated their conversation. But in the silence, all was conveyed. Words had become superfluous.
“Kyu, sing for me when you get back. I’ll be waiting for you.” Ryeowook nearly chirped and Kyuhyun could imagine those beautiful eyes winking.
In that instant, he felt so much better. With a small smile, he replied, “Definitely, my No.1 fan.”
He doesn’t have to be the best; he just needs to be Ryeowook’s best.
