“Cavallone, if you screw this up, I will kill you.” Bianchi told him at the beginning of the mission.

Dino chuckled. “Then I’ll try my hardest not to screw up. Do you have something else planned for tonight that you need to hurry to?” He knew the answer to that. He’d seen the pair of aviators tucked into her clutch beside the miniature pistol, a sure sign that she was planning to visit her brother after the mission.

“No.” Bianchi said. Looking down both ends of the road, she saw no cars. Bianchi grabbed Dino’s arm and pulled them forward, aiming for the club entrance across the street. She was surprisingly adept at running in heels, Dino observed. It was a female thing. Or maybe a female-assassin thing. “Keep up.” she snapped.

“Oh, uh, sorry.” Dino said, turning his focus back to his feet. Romario was back in the car, just a short distance away, but Dino still had to keep his wits about him. Their mission was to infiltrate the club, specifically its back rooms, and to assassinate two targets - one each for him and Bianchi. Dino thought that he could handle the assassination. He did not know if he could handle Poison Scorpion Bianchi.

-----

Bianchi was contemptuous of Dino Cavallone. He was immature and clumsy, and she did not date immature men. Thus, it was completely ridiculous that she be paired with him in a mission that required them to pretend to be lovers. Dino Cavallone could not handle her, and furthermore, he reminded her of an eager-to-please puppy. There was no chemistry between them whatsoever.

…But this was probably all a big test from Reborn, so Bianchi went along with it. The quicker they completed this mission, the quicker she could crash her little brother’s date with Yamamoto Takeshi. Bianchi still could not understand that relationship - how could her genius of a brother hook up with that jock?

Bianchi reached the entrance to the club and smiled pertly at the bouncer. “Hello there.”

Before the bouncer could smile back, Bianchi was pulled back by an arm that had suddenly appeared around her waist. She stumbled, trying to regain her balance, and ran the worst scenario through her head - she could fall on Dino, topple the two of them into the street and look like idiotic klutzes before the bouncer, ensuring that they would never gain entrance to the club and fail the mission before it even began. However, that didn’t happen. She thudded back into a surprisingly sturdy chest and Dino held her steady with two hands on her hips.

“Hold on, baby.” he whispered into her ear. “No need to rush. I’m sure the gentleman before us will let us in after I show my ID; no need to seduce him.”

Bianchi was astonished at the change in the Cavallone, but she didn’t show it. Instead, she smiled playfully and wiggled in his grasp. “Sorry.”

“That’s ok. Just don’t do it again.” he whispered. Then he bit her earlobe, and Bianchi felt a spike of interest - this assignment might turn out much more interesting than she thought.

-----

Dino’s eyes flickered all around the club as they danced, noticing the exits and clusters of activity. Then his tie was yanked, and he found himself looking into the fierce green eyes of the Poison Scorpion.

“Do you find me boring, Cavallone? You haven’t looked at me for five seconds straight ever since we got into this place.”

Dino slipped into his mission-persona easily, knowing it would help him deal with the woman in his arms. “I don’t need to see you when I can feel you so well, baby.”

Bianchi gave him a sexy smile as a reward. “My my, what a sly tongue.” She pulled him down for a kiss and made sure he couldn’t focus on anything else. When they broke apart, all Dino could think about were Bianchi’s long eyelashes and swollen lips. “Don’t look around so much.” Bianchi continued. “It’ll be suspicious, especially when you have such a fine woman in your arms.”

Dino laughed softly. “I’m just wondering when they’ll come to invite us into the back rooms.”

“Don’t be impatient, darling.” Her hand came up and a finger tapped his nose. “They’ll come soon enough. Until then, just enjoy the moment.”

-----

Dino was an okay kisser, Bianchi conceded. Still a little immature, but…enthusiastic, and not slobbery. Could’ve been worse, considering. And the way his eyes had smoldered - Bianchi wanted to see that again. She pulled his face down to hers and distracted him from the mission once more. They were both enjoying this maybe a little too much. Well…that was just how Bianchi liked it.

-----

Dino’s mind whirled as they moved down a back hallway. He was a bit too drunk on Bianchi’s perfume to be clearheaded, but paradoxically, he felt even more aware of his surroundings and especially aware of the gun on his ankle holster. Looking at Bianchi and her skintight dress, he wondered where she hid her weapons in case her clutch was taken away. There were probably knives against her thighs, maybe poisoned needles hidden in strategic places.

…It was probably not wise to speculate about what was hidden under Bianchi’s dress while the mission was incomplete. Dino took a deep breath and focused.

-----

Bianchi stood over her target and wiped the blood off her knife before strapping it back onto her thigh. This kill had been quieter than she liked, but that was the nature of things. Bianchi stood back up and left the room - Dino had better be finished with his assassination too.

-----

Bianchi was still unusually touchy in the car ride back - it unsettled Dino, though he couldn’t say that he wasn’t attracted. Still… “Hey, Poison Scorpion.”

She raised a perfectly plucked eyebrow. “Yes?”

“Where do you want to get dropped off?”

Bianchi debated her options. She could crash Gokudera’s date, but returning with Dino seemed to be a much more enjoyable option. “I’ll go wherever you're going, Cavallone.”

Dino mulled over this for a second. “Really? I thought that-”

“I changed my mind. Are you going to send me away?” Bianchi smiled.

“W-Well, just one thing you should know.”

“Yes?” Bianchi placed a hand on his cheek, her face only inches away.

“I think that you…you’re attracted to my mission-persona, Poison Scorpion.” Dino smiled, his face suddenly years younger. “This isn’t what I’m like all the time.”

“That’s okay.” Bianchi whispered. “Everyone lies in bed.”
